Escape to the African Savanna with this custom designed African Yurt bird house.  All handmade wood bird house using 100% Western Red Cedar.  This house measures 7.5 inches tall x 7.5 inches in diameter with the entry hole sized at 1.25 inches to attract smaller songbirds such as Chickadees, Wrens and Nuthatches to name just a few.

Designed to resemble the Yurts seen across the continent of Africa this house has vents in the sides to allow air circulation throughout the nesting box, drain holes in the floor to maintain a dry environment and a hinged access gate for easy annual cleanout.  The entry hole is flanked by two decorative panels symbolizing help and support to wary travelers.  The entire house is treated with System Three marine varnish to protect and bring out the natural luster of the cedar.  The paint used for the bottom rails and perch is Benjamin Moore’s premium exterior Jet Black.
